This
programme is designed to give all staff an appreciation of
the significant environmental impacts of their own workplace
and business. It seeks to promote the commitment of good environmental
practices to all. It is particularly appropriate for organisations
seeking to achieve certification to ISO14001 as it meets the
training requirements for staff development/awareness of environmental
issues. Duration: 1 day.

The
overall aim for delegates is to acquire appropriate knowledge
of key concepts to assist them in identifying and managing
environmental impacts. Delegates will be encouraged to develop
the necessary management skills and techniques involved in
environmental management. Provides the foundation knowledge
necessary for the NVQ level 4. Duration: 5 days

This
course and its project assignments are specifically designed
to benefit not only the individual but also their organisation.
The programme provides an excellent forum to take the organisation
forward in terms of its' environmental policies and compliance
with environmental regulations. Details of the Unit combinations
available on request. Each tutored session provides the candidate
with the information and tools required, to carry out successive
projects within the workplace, thereby providing the basis
for the implementation of an environmental management system
to ISO 14001 or EMAS. Candidates would be expected to have
foundation knowledge equivalent to that provided within the
Level 3 Environmental Management Programme, shown above.
There is no formal examination. Evidence is collected, to
demonstrate that performance criteria laid down in the environmental
standards are consistently met. Duration: Tutorials; 6 days
within three months. Evidence gathering; 6 months - 1 year.
