Upon becoming a member of SBEN your business has the option to receive a free environmental healthcheck. This involves a qualified environmental consultant visiting your premises to examine your current environmental management systems and also to walk the site.
A confidential written report is provided which will highlight areas which need attention and suggestions for improvement.
SBEN makes all the necessary arrangements for the visit all you have to do is make yourself available on the day to answer any questions the auditor may have.
This document can prove a very useful tool in driving forward environmental improvements
As part of SBEN membership, we also offer up to five days-subsidised consultancy. Your business will be able to take advantage of the consultant and their knowledge. It doesn't matter if you require help writing an environmental policy or implementing ISO 14001, we can provide the right consultancy for your environmental needs.
SBEN holds breakfast seminars throughout the year as part of its programme of events. Starting with a cooked breakfast and finishing between 9.30am and 10.00am the events are designed not to impact on the normal working day. A range of topical and relevant subjects are covered with presentations by acknowledged experts in the field.
Training events take place throughout the year and aim to provide either you or your employees with in depth knowledge of specific subjects. Lunch is provided at all events and subjects covered are again topical and relevant. The training is also provided by acknowledged experts.
Previously SBEN has provided in-house training to SBEN member organisations. The company provides the venue and SBEN provide the consultancy at a rate per delegate. Companies can utilise this service either to train their employees or their supply chain on specific subjects. These events are tailored to your businesses needs.
This is a service solely for SBEN members and involves a presentation, site-tour and lunch, highlighting the environmental process / technologies and initiatves that have been implemented by organisations. This is a lo-call service, supported by a number of organisations including the Organisers Group. The support organisations provide up to two hours free confidential telephone advice to callers. Environmental training and counselling can be offered along with a sign-posting service.
