Resource UK is an environmental consultancy and trading company operating in three complimentary business areas - recycled materials, minerals and renewable energy. We work in partnership with a number of other organisations to provide the necessary knowledge, experience and expertise to provide best value for money to our customers.
 
Recycled materials
 We work as R & D consultants and trade in recycled materials, principally glass. Our staff and partners have worked on research projects both for WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) and individual clients. Our main areas of expertise are in glass, ceramics and quarry waste materials, and have an enviable track record in making supply chains work. Through our partners we are actively trading recycled glass products including ceramic fluxing powders and glass grit pressure blasting media.
 
Minerals
 We are chartered geologists and minerals planning consultants with expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment, and can offer expert witness and project management skills at public enquiries. We also trade in quarry materials including sand, clay and shale principally to the heavy clay products sector (bricks, tiles and pipes).
 
Renewable energy
 We are actively working with a number of partners in this field. In terms of renewable energy generation we are particularly active in locating sites for and preparing planning applications for small and micro-scale wind turbines, working in collaboration with re-sellers and installers to offer a complete package. Reduction of energy use is a vitally important factor in today's economy and we are introducers of Voltage Power Optimisation technology, which has the potential to reduce electricity usage by up to 20% for large users of power such as retail stores, factories, hotels and quarries.

Retherm specify, supply and install renewable energy solutions, primarily ground and air source heat pumps, for the domestic, commercial and public sector. Established in 2007, the company is fully accredited under the MCS (Micro generation Certification Scheme) and are members of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association. Retherm are one of the largest installers of these technologies in the country providing service and technical support for many European manufactures including NIBE and Stiebel Eltron.  Solar voltaic and solar thermal technologies can also be viewed at their Trentham offices.
